Ways to give
We have books, but we need shelves!
Our organization only accepts monetary donations. All amount of money is welcome.
If you want to donate used books, please contact the Luxembourgish book friends associations Lëtzebuerger Bicherfrënn https://www.bicherfrenn.lu/ or De Bicherclub https://bicherclub.lu/
By a donation
Every donation helps us! Simply transfer your financial donation to one of the FëBLux banking account (BCEELULL – LU82 0019 3255 0417 2000) with the notation: “Don [name]”. You will get a letter of thanks, but no tax receipt.
Your donation can only be TAX-DEDUCTIBLE (French: dons déductibles des impôts), if transferred by the national cultural fund, called Focuna (Fonds culturel national).
Steps to follow, in this order:
- Make a donation of … Euro
- Transfer it to the banking account IBAN LU24 0019 4655 0203 7000
- Bank: Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat (BCEE) – BIC (Swift): BCEELULL
- Recipient (French: bénéficiaire): Fonds culturel national
- Notation (French: mention): “FëBLux 2016/017”.
Done! Then wait to get your tax receipt from the Fonds culturel national (Focuna).
100 percent of your charitable contribution goes to FëBLux and is fully tax-deductible.
Please note that for your next annual tax declaration (March year+1) you will have to transfer your tax-deductible donation to Focuna before the 1st of December of each year.

MEMORIAL GIVING (DEATH †) – obituary (French: avis de décès / German: Todesanzeige) information
We suggest the following model in Luxembourgish:
Als Erënnerung un [d’/de NUMM] kënnt Dir en Don maachen un de Fonds culturel national, BCEELULL LU24 0019 4655 0203 7000, mam Vermierk “FëBLux 2016/017 don [NUMM]”.
In summary, five steps to follow:
- In memory of [name of your loved one]
- [recipient] a donation can be made to the Fonds culturel national,
- [BIC (Swift)] BCEELULL
- [IBAN] LU24 0019 4655 0203 7000,
- with the notation “FëBLux 2016/017 donation [name of your loved one]”
TRIBUTE GIVING ♣ ♥ – in case of a special happy honorary occasion, like baptism, birthday, marriage, retirement, etc.
Please follow the same procedure as above, as for “Memorial giving”, by changing the beginning like this:
Wann een [dem/der NUMM] wëll bei dëser Occasioun eng Freed maachen, da kënnt Dir en Don maachen un de Fonds culturel national, BCEELULL LU24 0019 4655 0203 7000, mam Vermierk “FëBLux 2016/017 don [NUMM]”.
By a legacy
Do you want to immortalise yourself, by transcribing a part or your whole legacy to FëBLux? [art. 10 of the Law of the 19.12.2008 (Loi du 19 décembre 2008 portant révision du régime applicable à certains actes de société en matière de droits d’enregistrement, […], Memorial A-N°207, 24.12.2008): inheritance tax 4%, authorisation by the Ministry of Justice from the amount of 30.000 Euro on (check art. 19 of the association law of the 07.08.2023 (Loi du 7 août 2023 sur les associations sans but lucratif et les fondations)), etc.]
FëBLux is an officially registered organisation and therefore can accept legacies. Please contact us for special services! When it comes to memorialization, we librarians are specialists. All requests and donations will be treated discretely of course.
The names of the deceased persons are published on our website (Who were are) and in our annual report.
